The Haverford School
The Haverford School, a K-12 College Preparatory school located in Haverford, Pennsylvania, recently contacted Applied Video Technology (AVT) to upgrade their existing campus Digital Signage system. After looking at several different signage products Haverford elected to move forward with having AVT integrate and install a Visix Axis TV System in their high school, middle school and gymnasium. The system consisted of an Axis TV Content Manager, allowing Haverford to deliver updates to their players remotely using a single web-hosting content management system. The simple Visix interface allows for easy access, control and creation of messages through the web. These messages are then sent out to Axis TV Players located throughout the Haverford School campus. The channel players support both static and dynamic IP addresses and remote updates and diagnostics allow maximum accessibility and deliver information quickly.
As a part of their Visix Axis TV System, The Haverford School has also implemented the Visix Screen Saver Client to 100 PCs on campus. With the Screen Saver Client, whenever selected PCs on campus go into screen saver mode, a small client application grabs the latest messages from their content manager and displays them on that desktop. By leveraging PCs on campus, not only does it keep students and faculty better informed; it has provided the school with an extremely cost-effective way to expand their distribution network for important messages.

We now can post schedules, announcements, sports scores, and alerts instantly across campus from any computer.
