Dover Downs Hotel and Casino in Dover, DE wanted a dynamic signage system that would instantly provide feedback about winners on their progressive slots to other players. The positive impact of this type of multi- media stimulation is well proven in the gaming industry. Dover Downs looked to AVT to help design a technically sophisticated system that
maintain the aesthetic look of the gaming floor and yet add a new element that would trigger customers to play more. AVT utilized a behind the scenes server system using CastNET software that was programmed to read data from their customers Gold Club cards. When a winner was recognized at any slot machine, it would trigger a series of personalized “celebration” graphics, displayed on flat screens, letting other gamers know that someone had just won!
AVT installed and maintains over 20 Sony 32”, 40”, and 46” professional LCD panels installed at strategic locations on the floor. The “celebration” graphics are part of a collection developed by Digital Display Group (DDG) and Phoenix Media Group (PMG) and can be customized to fit any customer or theme. Plans are currently being made to add additional screens to the casino / hotel expansion that is expected to open in the summer of 2008. AVT is also adding outdoor screens under the entrance porticos.
