Phoenixville Area School District

In 2002, as part of a major rehabilitation project of the Phoenixville High School building, AVT began the design process to implement new media technology that would not only improve in-school communications, but develop curriculum and open a local public access channel.

In addition to working with the school district, AVT also negotiated with Comcast, to create two local channels, one for the district and one for the Borough of Phoenixville. After a building-wide wiring design, video implementation into 80 classrooms, a complete auditorium AV overhaul, and a state-of-the–art digital TV studio, Phoenixville had the foundation for enormous potential. By combining top quality technology with some of the best leadership and teaching-talent we have ever seen, Phantom TV flourished.

Over the last 5 years the local education channel has gained community and area-wide recognition. The programming is tremendous, the kids have learned, and an Education Foundation has been established and supported by Phantom TV. The foundation has grown as a inspiration for education foundations everywhere. AVT is proud to have been a major part of this success story. Our business with PASD continues as the district recently was awarded a $200,000 technology grant to upgrade the original studio. By providing all new Sony cameras, decks, editing systems, and infrastructure, Phantom TV rivals some of our highest end broadcast customers.
