PNC Bank Center
When the PNC Bank Center in Wilmington, DE, decided to upgrade their lobby, they wanted a high tech look to improve their ages-old building directory. They wanted a directory system that would not only direct people where to go, but they also wanted a communications system that would display building events, calendars, news and stocks, as well as promote activities of their tenants.
AVT worked with the building architects and designers as well as the tenants to create a high tech-looking interactive Digital Directory. This signage system includes a lower screen that is cantilevered out to meet ADA requirements, and provides a 45” touch screen interactive display so visitors can not only find the tenants they are looking for, but can get other contact information as well. The other 2 screens provide a static directory and a dynamic rich media screen that is easily updated by the tenants and retails shops in the building. AVT’s content management company, Phoenix Media Group used Scala InfoChannel to create the interactive directory system and used CastNet for the multi-zone display including news, events, stocks, and advertisements on the top screen. PMG’s interactive templates are easy to use and all directory updates are made locally by a PNC administrator.
