AVT Builds Two HD Production Trucks for RCN Cable
RCN-TV signed on the air in the mid-1960s and has been covering live sports and community events ever since. RCN-TV delivers intense action from various high school and collegiate sporting events and has partnerships with The Lafayette Sports Network (LSN) for coverage of all Lafayette College football and men’s and women’s basketball games and the Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCN) for coverage of statewide PIAA high school sports. With the growing demand for covering these events and more, RCN-TV, needed to update their equipment and upgrade to HD.
While working with a phased budget for completing the necessary HD upgrades, AVT provided RCN-TV with equipment, design services and installation to implement two full HD Mobile Production Trucks. The AVT sales and engineering team worked closely with RCN engineers throughout the course of both projects to design the complete renovation of the trucks. Features include all new custom interiors, electrical wiring, audio and video wiring and updated HD production equipment.
